Trump Names His 2 Main Challengers

(Fox News/"The O'Reilly Factor")

Top-polling GOP presidential contender Donald Trump sees his main challengers for the party's nomination next summer as Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.

Pressed in an interview with Fox News host Bill O'Reilly to identify the Republican candidate Trump considers the biggest challenger to his White House bid, the real estate billionaire initially demurred, saying "they are all challengers" — then quickly offered up the names.

"People are thinking in terms of Cruz and Rubio," Trump said. "They say on the other side, the side that they've been elected to office. But, other things they don't have. They don't have my experience certainly."

"I've created tens of thousands of jobs," he added. "I've built a company that's worth many, many, many billions of dollars. It's a great company with little debt. Tremendous cash flows. I deal with people from all over the world. Countries from all over the world," the real estate tycoon added.

"Who has my experience? I mean nobody has ever done what I've done."

Trump would not, however, say which of the pair was more of a threat.

"I have a lot of good relationships" with the primary field candidates, he said. Adding, "You'd be very surprised."

In an averaging of national polls by Real Clear Politics, Trump leads the GOP field with 24.8 percent, followed by Ben Carson at 24.4 percent, Rubio at 11.8 percent and Cruz at 9.6 percent.

O'Reilly also grilled Trump over his reference to President Dwight Eisenhower's deportation strategy during the fourth GOP presidential candidates' debate Tuesday night.

"Believe me when I tell you, Mr. Trump, that was brutal what they did to those people to kick them back," O'Reilly said. "The stuff they did was really brutal. It could never happen today."

But Trump insisted his "deportation force" strategy plan would be executed in a "very humane way."
