Conservative political pundit Dick Morris says he's been advising Donald Trump in an unofficial capacity, offering his campaign "a lot of memos" — some on a daily basis,
The Daily Caller reports.
In an interview to discuss his new book released this week –
Armageddon: How Trump Can Beat Hillary -- Morris says he's known Trump for years, and that his father was a real estate lawyer for both Trump and Trump's father, Fred.
"Donald came to dinner at our house frequently when I was growing up," Morris tells the Daily Caller, adding he hasn't spoken with the GOP presumptive presidential nominee in at least a year.
Morris says, however, he sends "several" memos to Trump campaign staffers "each day" even though he doesn't want to join the campaign in an official capacity, the Daily Caller reports.
"I'm not and I never have been looking for a full-time job, 9-5, advising the campaign," he tells the outlet. "Yes, I am interested and I do send them a lot of memos and a lot of ideas and in fact wrote a book for them filled with advice as to what they should do."
"In a sense, this book is very much of a public communication to the Trump campaign of what they need to do in order to win," he said of his
"Armageddon,” out this week and available at both

The strategy includes hammering the Democrats on Obamacare, illegal immigration and terrorism, and to appeal to Sen. Bernie Sanders' voters, the Daily Caller reports.
The Trump campaign said it welcomes Morris' contributions, the Daily Caller reports.
"To my knowledge, he has no association with the campaign," spokeswoman Hope Hicks says in an email, the Daily Caller reports. "We appreciate his support and contributions, which are presumably made in an unofficial capacity."
Morris is author of the new book
