Dennis Quaid, who plays Ronald Reagan in a highly-anticipated biopic, is being sued by a fellow passenger for reportedly smoking an e-cigarette on an Air Canada flight back in 2016, Wonder Wall reported with why-now puzzlement.

Quaid’s profile has risen since he inked the deal to portray Reagan in the movie that explores the former president's life and career.

On Monday, Quaid shared his thoughts about the film in an exclusive with "Megyn Kelly Today" at Ronald Reagan's ranch in California.

Dubbed "Reagan," the $21 million film has been in the works for a long time and will be released next summer.

Though the vaping incident allegedly took place two years ago, Karl Larsen decided to take the matter to a Los Angeles small claims court, saying the veteran actor ruined his experience on the flight from Toronto to Los Angeles, and broke the airline’s policy, when he smoked an electronic cigarette on the plane.

The two were reportedly seated next to each other in first class.

According to the complaint obtained by TMZ, Larsen is demanding that Quaid pay him for the cost of the plane ticket.

TMZ noted that Larsen’s reasoning was rather vague but he’s willing to settle for Quaid reimbursing him the price of a business class seat, at $3,829.

For the record, Air Canada’s zero tolerance policy on the use of electronic cigarettes onboard its flights is very clear, as highlighted on the website ESmokerCanada.com

TMZ said Quaid hasn’t commented on the issue.

He's more than likely preoccupied with everything involved in the filming, along with getting his Pacific Palisades home ready to sell. He purchased the property five years ago for $5.1 million and listed it on the market for $6.495 million, The Los Angeles Times reported.

When Quaid was quizzed about his Reagan role on “Megyn Kelly Today” he also opened up about his cocaine addiction, The HuffPost reported.
