"What has happened is unacceptable in terms of the glitches," House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Sunday on ABC's "This Week."

"They were overwhelmed to begin with. There is much that needs to be done to correct the situation."

Democrats, according to Politico, are concerned the problems with the HealthCare.gov website — and the administration's mishandling of its launch — could haunt them at the ballot box in 2014.

But a Democratic Party operative told Politico that while "Democrats running in 2014 need to be for fixing healthcare," they still "need to run hard against those that want to repeal and defund it.

"They shouldn't own responsibility for problems with the law or its implementation," this operative said.

As problems continue to plague the Obamacare website, Republicans are turning up the heat on Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, demanding she take responsibility for the debacle.

Others are calling for her resignation.

The House GOP has scheduled hearings for later this week to investigate the mismanaged roll-out. Sebelius is drawing criticism for her refusal to appear at the hearings.

Meanwhile, Obama admitted for the first time last week that the glitches were unacceptable. He is expected to "directly address the technical problems with HealthCare.gov" during an event at the White House Monday morning.
