Forbes: Cowboys Most Valuable Team for 14th Straight Year at $5.7B

Valued at $5.7 billion, the Dallas Cowboys top Forbes' list of the most valuable NFL franchise for the 14th year in a row.

The value of the franchise went up 4 percent year over year on revenues of $980 million and operating income of $425 million, according to Forbes, which released its annual ranking on Thursday.

The New England Patriots are No. 2 at $4.4 billion with the New York Giants close behind at $4.3 billion for third place.

The Los Angeles Rams ($4B) and San Francisco 49ers ($3.8B) round out the top five.

The Rams and Giants broke the $4 billion barrier this year for the first time.

Three franchises (New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles, Seattle Seahawks) went up 11 percent in value year over year, tops in the league. On average, values are up 7 percent overall, per Forbes.

The Cincinnati Bengals are last in the NFL with a $2 billion valuation. The Buffalo Bills are No. 31 at $2.05 billion and the Detroit Lions are 30th at $2.1 billion.

The defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs are 23rd at $2.5 billion, a 9 percent increase.
