Gov. Chris Christie is reportedly letting it be known that he intends to wind up with a job in the Trump administration.
According to the New York Post, the New Jersey Republican and former presidential candidate is telling friends and staff about an eventual White House role.
The exact position hasn't been worked out, but it will not be as President Donald Trump's chief of staff, a position now held by Reince Priebus, the Post reported, citing an unnamed source.
"Trump told him to be patient," the Post quoted the source saying. "Christie will only take something where he is answerable to the president.”
The president himself has told the Wall Street Journal that "at some point, we're going to do something with Chris."
