Syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer criticized Hillary Clinton in a recent interview, saying it's not clear where she stands on key issues.
During a lengthy interview with Bill Kristol of The Weekly Standard, Krauthammer said he's not sure where Clinton — who joined the
2016 race for president on Sunday — lies on issues that will come into play during the campaign.
"Although I can't even imagine, let's say Hillary Clinton, were she elected, would continue the Obama policy," Krauthammer said. "I don't know where she stands on anything. I don't know if she does.
"But you go by her husband's administration, and by the mood of the country, except for the hard left, people do not like where we are in the world. They have a sense that this is not the America they love and there's something about our taking responsibility."
Story continues below video (Krauthammer's remarks about Clinton occur around 44 minutes into it).
Clinton's campaign announcement was not a surprise, as she has been building a team for months with the sole purpose of joining the race to challenge for the Democrat nomination and the presidency.
There are now four major candidates in the race: Clinton and Republican Sens. Ted Cruz (Texas), Rand Paul (Kentucky), and Marco Rubio (Florida).
Rubio announced his candidacy on Monday, and reports say that Clinton's team is "really worried" about the
threat Rubio poses in the race.
Following Clinton's announcement, the GOP began its effort to downplay her entrance into the race. Republican National Committee
Chairman Reince Priebus said Americans aren't buying into Clinton's message.
"She's at pure saturation, and she's losing in battleground states to many of our candidates, who have name ID of like 30 percent," Priebus said. "And what that actually tells you is it has a lot to do with the fact that people aren't really buying the product of Hillary."
