Former President George W. Bush is planning to release a book entitled "Portraits of Courage" that features his paintings of wounded veterans who served while he was in the White House.
Bush said in a Facebook post over the weekend in honor of Veterans Day that "Over the past several months, I've painted the portraits of 98 wounded warriors I've gotten to know - remarkable men and women who were injured carrying out my orders."
Bush said that in the Facebook post, which included an image of himself painting, that “I think about them on Veterans Day and every day," adding that "I am donating all my proceeds to the George W. Bush Presidential Center and our Military Service Initiative's work to honor and support them."
The book will be released on February 28 and will include forewords by former First Lady Laura Bush and former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Peter Pace, according to the book’s website,
