Hillary Clinton says she is "waiting and watching" to see how former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg does in his bid for the Democratic Party's presidential nomination.
But she shot down speculation that she might consider serving as his running mate if he wins the nomination.
"Oh no! I'm just waiting and watching as this plays out," she said on Tuesday. "I will support whoever the nominee is." Her remarks came while she was in Puerto Rico for a Clinton Global Initiative event, according to Fox News.
The comments were detailed in a tweet by journalist Yashar Ali, who noted: "Hillary Clinton says she will NOT consider being Bloomberg's VP."
The Drudge Report cited sources close to the Bloomberg campaign suggesting their polling found a Bloomberg-Clinton ticket would be a "formidable force."
