Fox News commentator Bill O'Reilly says he's not interested in revisiting the furor that erupted over the summer involving former network chief Roger Ailes.

Speaking Tuesday on "CBS This Morning," O'Reilly told the show's anchors he had not read colleague Megyn Kelly's new book, which offers, for the first time, her take on the sexual-harassment scandal that engulfed the 21st Century Fox-owned cable-news outlet earlier this year. Ailes was ousted from his post as chairman and chief executive of Fox News after former anchor Gretchen Carlson filed suit alleging he harassed her, and other allegations quickly followed. Ailes has denied all the charges.

Kelly's book, "Settle for More," was made available in stores Tuesday morning.

"Look, I'm trying to stay out of any of that kind of stuff. It doesn't pertain to my life. I wish her well. She's a very smart woman. You know it's a very tough book environment. We will see if people respond to it. But I have not read it. But it's not a dis. I mean it just came out. So I'll look at it," O'Reilly said on "CBS This Morning."

"It's open season. Let's whack the Fox News Channel. I've had enough of it. It's a good place to work. Alright? We do good work. We do honest work there," he added. "I'm not going to buy into let's use the Fox News Channel as a pinata. I don't think it's right."

Kelly has become Fox News' most-watched anchor behind O'Reilly. As she has risen to prominence - particularly after tangling with President-elect Donald Trump during the recently completed campaign cycle - Kelly and her colleagues have occasionally feuded. In October, Sean Hannity questioned Kelly during his show regarding remarks she made about Trump and rival Hillary Clinton making appearances only on programs known to be friendly to their cause.
