A painting of President Barack Obama standing on the Constitution titled "The Forgotten Man" was purchased by Fox News host Sean Hannity to give to President-elect Donald Trump, according to the artist who made it.

Jon McNaughton on Nov. 9 tweeted that Hannity had purchased the painting, which depicts Obama, hands folded, in front of all the past presidents of the United States and James Madison pleading for him to step off the Constitution. On the left is a man with his head bowed and other presidents attempting to console him.

The painting is selling for $29 on McNaughton's website. He describes it as "the vanishing of the American Dream" yet says it is not a partisan painting. He said he painted it because he felt shock at the direction the country had taken under Obama and "the only solution I offer is to take a 180-degree turn and return to the principles of the Constitution, which define a limited government, protect individual and states' rights and make no allowance for any of the baggage we have accumulated over the years in the form of entitlement programs."
