April showers are said to bring May flowers but getting wet isn't likely to dampen the spirits of music lovers who plan to jam out at Palm Springs' annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival or deter the environmentally conscious from celebrating Mother Nature on Earth Day.

Those are just two of the major events occurring this April, a month that also features a day dedicated to harmless pranks and celebrations of freedom and the resurrection of Jesus.
