Insurance giant Anthem has pledged to make a $1,000 retirement contribution to all of its 58,000 employees and recent retirees in response to Republicans' tax cuts legislation.
Anthem made the announcement Monday.
Further, Anthem announced last week that the other half of its windfall from the tax cuts bill will go to its shareholders.
Anthem is the latest in a string of companies to announce major bonuses and new investment strategies in the wake of the President Donald Trump' first major legislative victory in Year 1.
And it's another shot in the arm for congressional Republicans, who sorely need more press like this to convince skeptical Americans that the tax cuts bill was more than just a break for the super wealthy.
