On June 6, 1944 (D-Day), thousands of courageous, young men stormed the beaches of Normandy, France. As they did so, they ran head-on into gunfire, facing certain death to protect the life and liberty of those they had never met.
These young men understood their role in society.
They knew the difference between right and wrong. They embraced their calling to protect women and children and to stand up in the face of evil, even if it meant laying down their lives.
In short, they were heroes.
Today, we refer to men who exhibit that same courage and desire to serve, protect, and provide as "toxic," or "the toxic male."
We demonize masculinity and, instead, are filling our children’s minds with the lie that gender roles are an oppressive, social construct to be rejected.
We are telling them that it is "heroic" to block the natural processes of development and teach them to live by their emotions, rather than guiding them in reason, cause and effect, and biological truth.
This means we are causing disastrous harm to our young people and our world.
Who could have known, nearly 80 years after D-Day, we would be teaching our boys that they can be girls, encouraging them to steal the sports podium from our daughters, telling them to give in to the lusts of their flesh, instead of being self-controlled and committed in relationships and even applaud them when they perform lewd acts in the streets and in front of our children?
Who could have known that we would reduce the beauty of women and motherhood to the term "birthing person" and celebrate the murder of millions of our babies?
Who could have anticipated the public school system pitting parents against children and promoting lies, perversion, and the outright sexualization of minors?
Who could have dreamt that our society would deny God’s amazing design of men and women and celebrate immature, irrational, prepubescent children destroying their bodies?
Who would have believed that, before the last hero from World War II has departed this earth, the greatest threat to humanity would be our own government-run (read public) schools and medical systems?
God predicted it.
He warned us about the dangers of rejecting truth and celebrating evil.
When we choose to remove Him and His Word from the classroom, the courtroom, and the public square, we open ourselves up to chaos and confusion.
God knew that when we reduced the beauty of marital intimacy to a selfish obsession with personal pleasure, mocked the roles of men and women, and destroyed the family unit which bears witness to His great salvation plan, that pain, loss, anxiety, depression, and hopelessness would result.
Yet, He still gives us the freedom to choose.
Every choice has consequences.
When adults choose to promote agendas and theories that destroy individuals, families, and our future, heroes must arise and speak the truth.
When educators attempt to usurp the role of parents in their children’s lives, heroes must stand in the gap and protect the vulnerable.
When elected officials choose to extol the indecent, obscene, violent writings of adults rather than protecting the innocence of youth, heroes must vote these individuals out of office and become civil servants, for the good of society.
When our education system chooses to spend our time and resources on social issues, political ideologies and divisive, race-based teachings rather than preparing them to compete on the global playing field, heroes must take back the reins of education and teach true history.
Children need us to tell them the truth, correct them when they are wrong, and set them on the path toward physical, emotional, and intellectual maturity.
We must train up the next generation to understand that life is wrought with struggles and difficulties, but they can and will conquer their fears, overcome hardships, live through disappointment and failure, and achieve what seems impossible when they learn character, discipline, self control, and perseverance.
We must reject the lies, speak the truth, and promote honor and morality in every facet of life.
- These are the cornerstones upon which our country was founded
- These are the qualities that inspire greatness
- These are the principles that forged our nation
- These are the choices that produce heroes
What will you choose?
