Yesterday, the original Batman, actor Adam West, was laid to rest. As a young boy, I regularly watched the television series, which spewed both humor as well as humility and morality. And, years later, inspired and seeing myself as a sort of modern day Batman, taking on the forces of evil in a compromised nation and world and not just Gotham City, I conceived of and founded Judicial Watch, and later Freedom Watch.

At the time that I founded Judicial Watch at least, on July 29, 1994, as a trial lawyer and former Justice Department prosecutor I believed that the court system, which was not as politicized and corrupted as it is today, could be used exclusively to fight these forces of evil in our society. But over the last 23 years, sadly I have come to experience and thus realize that only on rare occasions, as occurred in the last few years when I successfully sued and obtained preliminary injunctions against the intelligence agencies for illegally spying, without the required probable cause that a crime was afoot or communications with terrorists were occurring, on millions of Americans, that our justice system is perhaps irreparably broken. Indeed, the judges who now "infest" a politicized judiciary — 70 to 80 percent leftist appointees of former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama — are with only a few rare exceptions so intellectually dishonest and politicized that the the law for them is simply an "Inconvenient Truth" in the words of former Vice President Al Gore in the context of his environmental global warming jihad.

The latest or many such examples occurred just in the last few days, when predictably the ultra-leftist U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit shot down the Trump Justice Department in its appeal of an outrageous and wholly illegal ruling by a Harvard Law School classmate and friend of former President Obama concerning the current president’s so called "Travel Ban" to allow for extreme vetting of persons emigrating from predominantly Muslim countries in the Middle East.

But what makes matters even worse is that these Obama and Clinton leftist judges are regularly issuing decisions which also contain politically charged rhetoric, calling President Trump and by extension his supporters racists, bigots, and other names, denigrating conservatives, libertarians, and people of faith on a near daily basis. And, all of this lawlessness and hatred, spewed even from the bench, the so called bar of justice, coupled with leftist and Democrat politicians and the likes of George Soros funded front groups like Black Lives Matter and the Council for American Islamic Relations (CAIR), are whipping up violence the likes of which we experienced yesterday against Republican congressmen and senators, and their staffs in Alexandria, Virginia.

And, that is why its time that the American people join me in resurrecting Batman to fight for justice and what at one time was the American way. And, if it peacefully takes ignoring and skirting the corrupted justice system, as Batman had to do to fight and vanquish the likes of the Joker, Iceman, Penguin, and  Catwoman, this may be  the only alternative. Peaceful civil disobedience and other extra-judicial means may be the only next step, ala Martin Luther King, Ghandi, and other great heroes in history, in order to restore freedom, the rule of law, and to try to head off violent civil war between the left and the right, which after yesterday’s tragedy seems to be on the horizon.
