Moments after Joe Biden announced he would not stay in New Hampshire for the primary results, Republican Gov. Chris Sununu told Newsmax the former vice president's decision was "telling."
"Biden knew he was going to lose here – and big," said Sununu, who spoke to us at the Doubletree Hotel in downtown Manchester.
Sununu, in effect, voiced what New Hampshire polls and political reporters were concluding almost unanimously about Biden's surprise decision.
Last-minute polls had Biden, 77, running fourth in the Democratic field behind Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., Pete Buttigieg, and Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn.
"He'll try to revive his campaign in South Carolina," Sununu told us. "But I'm not sure he lm succeed."
