Neither Clinton or Trump Are Presidential

Neither Clinton or Trump Are Presidential

As the U.S. presidential campaign of 2016 slugs to a convulsive end, the questionable veracity and email conduct of Hillary Rodman Clinton and the dirty tricks of the Democrats and the Clinton campaign are revealed.

The unnecessary egotistically-insensitive gaffs and highly questionable personal conduct of Donald J. Trump toward women are aired ad nauseam, appearing to continue.

American citizens are weary of it all.

Both Republican and Democratic parties have presented the American people with flawed candidates. So flawed are the candidates that the important domestic and foreign events and issues that are occurring (and will occur) have taken a back seat to the un-indicted actions, foibles, and peccadilloes of the two major party candidates.

There has been no substance statement by either major party candidate on any domestic or foreign issue other than vague generalities and promises.

For that matter, neither of the minor party candidates has made substantive policy statements, only boiler-plate platitudes.

This presidential campaign is wearing on the nerves of U.S. citizen-voters, and with good reason.

Concern is mounting regarding the propriety of federal campaign electioneering, as there are suggestions concerning non-citizens receiving Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) benefits, as California is requesting from Obama that undocumented immigrants obtain benefits through Healthcare.gov., the Obamacare website.

Many voting precincts require only a driver license — or less — to vote.

Allegations of illegal aliens and other non-citizens voting and other types of voter fraud swirl about the Internet and local watering-holes. These allegations further create angst with legitimate voters while rankling the American psyche.

Citizen-voters are being deluged with political statements, counter-statements, clarifications, apologies, technical corrections, definitions, re-definitions, vagaries, quotes, misquotes, studies, polls, and downright personal fables of the candidates.

Meanwhile, the political landscape is in flux, as demonstrated by the constant drips of Clinton’s unflattering personal and campaign views about Catholics, Hispanics, and the middle class.

The constant drip of women alleging they were victimized by unwanted advances and acts of Trump demeans the presidential campaign.

U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch met with former President Bill Clinton on June 27, 2016, at the private plane section of the Phoenix, Ariz. airport.

Bill Clinton’s private jet arrived first. Takeoff was delayed to greet the attorney general’s plane, which taxied up next to the Clinton jet. The former president of the United States then boarded the U.S. attorney general’s plane for what she described as a “friendly talk about their grandchildren,” — a 30 minute talk.

In 1999, Bill Clinton appointed Loretta Lynch as U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of New York, an office she held until 2001. The attorney general is the FBI's supervisor — boss.

Days later, on July 5, 2016, FBI Director James Comey exercised authority that was not his, by stating Hillary Clinton and her aides acted “extremely careless” with sensitive material, but he then legally exonerated Hillary Clinton of any wrongdoing.

This act was not within his pay grade.

With the next presidency, Supreme Court vacancies are likely and a President Clinton may reward a Comey with a lifetime appointment — if the Democrats control the Senate.

Clinton, according to Wikileaks, told Brazilian bankers in 2013 that her dream was a hemispheric open trade and open borders reality. Clinton and the Democrats say the Wikileaks disclosures are due to Russian espionage citing governmental agencies and are therefore suspect.

However there are no denials by Clinton and the Democratic National Committee of the substance of the leaks.

Almost daily in October, Trump has been accused of sexual harassment by at least 10 women, but none have filed formal complaints or lawsuits alleging his misconduct.

The harassment and unwanted sexual allegations by Trump are impacting women in negative ways.

According to The Washington Post story of Oct. 7, 2016, Senator Sanders, I-Vt., in their primary battle, claimed Clinton received $675,000 from Goldman Sachs for three appearances. Goldman Sachs is a large Wall Street money business.

The Post further wrote that Clinton “was paid more than $20 million for speeches between 2013 and 2015 . . . ”

Many other charges of misconduct, indiscretions, abuse of office, abuse of women, fraud, and lying are alleged about Clinton and Trump, and in some cases proven by direct and/or circumstantial evidence.

The back and forth of allegations and charges by both candidates have the American people shaking their collective heads moaning “Are these the best America has to offer?”

A dejected young woman talking to three friends at an Arlington, Virginia Starbucks summed it up, “We have a choice of a congenital liar or an egotistical scoundrel — an abuser of her position and power or an abuser of women and a bore — an excuser of sexual wrongdoing or a sexual wrongdoer. Lord deliver us!”

One friend ended with, “Amen.”
