On Virginia Ballot: Gingrich, Romney, Perry, Paul

Friday, 23 December 2011 11:55 AM EST

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, Texas Gov. Rick Perry and Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, all made the filing deadline for the March 6 Virginia primary. However, they will not be joined on the ballot by Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman or former Sen. Rick Santorum, The Washington Post reported.

State GOP officials told the Post that Gingrich, Romney, Perry and Paul all filed the 10,000 signatures to get on the ballot. Bachmann, Huntsman and Santorum did not.

The signatures must still be certified by the Republican Party of Virginia, the Post reported.
