GOP Sen. Thune: Iowa Fits My Style

By    |   Tuesday, 28 September 2010 04:35 PM EDT

Potential Republican presidential candidate Sen. John Thune of South Dakota says he hasn’t decided whether he’ll run yet. But he’s certainly not displeased with the location of the first primary contest – Iowa, Politico reports.

Thune, presidential, candidate, Iowa“I think you could run more of a retail campaign there, which is more my style, anyway,” he told the Rapid City Journal. “I try not to get ahead of myself in talking about it. But if you were to game something out, that would be a big part of it.”

To be sure, no presidential candidate would say Iowa doesn’t fit his/her campaign style, even if that was the truth. In any case, Thune says he’ll make his decision whether to run early next year.
