Palin Supporters Run Ad in Iowa Urging Her to Run

By    |   Wednesday, 30 November 2011 01:54 PM EST

As Herman Cain reassesses his presidential ambitions, supporters of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin are renewing calls for her to step into the race with an ad entitled “The Challenge.”

Conservatives4Palin bought $6,500 in airtime on KCAU TV in Sioux City, Iowa, to nudge the 2008 Republican vice-presidential candidate to run for president. The ad, with the first-in-the-nation Iowa caucus slated for Jan. 3, was scheduled to appear today on “Good Morning America,” “Dr. Oz,” and the 10 p.m. news broadcast.

Story continues below the video.

Palin ended months of speculation when she announced in October that she would not run for president.

Conservatives4Palin, which announced its ad buy before the accusation of a 13-year-affair was made public against Cain, describes itself as a group of everyday Americans who believe in what Palin stands for, including her push for an energy independent America and her belief in free-market capitalism.

The ad ends with an audience chanting three times: “Run Sarah run.”
