Rep. Price: No Debt Deal Doesn’t Mean Default

Rep. Tom Price, R-Ga., says even if there is no agreement on raising the debt ceiling, it doesn’t mean that America will default on its debts, Politico reports.

debt  plan default price“Default means that you don’t pay your creditors, and that will not happen — it cannot happen — it must not happen," Price said Sunday on CNN's “State of the Union.” “We’ve got more than enough money coming in to be able to pay those individuals.”

Price said, however, that letting the Aug. 2 deadline pass without a deal is “not what we desire at all.”
