Dan Rather: Indiana, Virginia Are the Keys

Dan Rather appeared on MSNBC this morning and told host Joe Scarborough that while John McCain has been “hearing the axe” about to fall for some time, things can happen … The U.S. did beat the Russians in the 1980 Olympics.

Rather said the thing to look for is how Indiana and Virginia, which traditionally vote Republican, turn out. He thinks that if Indiana goes for Obama, the election is over for McCain, but if McCain can hold on to Indiana and Virginia, “You better get another cup of coffee” because it’s going to be a long night.
