A new Rasmussen Reports poll shows that Sen. Barack Obama's campaign has suffered damage as a result of his relationship with controversial pastor Jeremiah Wright.
Wright, leader of Chicago's Trinity United Church of Christ, has referred to the United States as the "U.S. of K.K.K.A." and says America brought the 9/11 attacks on itself because of corrupt foreign policy. He also has said: "The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing `God Bless America.' No, no, no, God damn America, that's in the Bible for killing innocent people."
According to Rasmussen, Obama's favorable rating has dipped to 47 percent since Thursday, a drop of five points. At the same time, his unfavorable rating has jumped from 44 percent to 50 percent among all voters. Among white voters, that number goes up to 54 percent.
