Bishop is the only member of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) that is receiving DCCC ad spending. So it’s a sign Democrats have to worry about their African American base, Sessions says. “When you have to go support your CBC members, which you’ve never had to do, that should show you how deep this is.” Sessions is running against Republican Mike Keown.
The DCCC is curbing its spending in races previously considered competitive to focus on ones previously considered safe for Democrats, Sessions notes.
