Perry Perry Ad Rips Romney's Book Changes on Healthcare

By    |   Monday, 26 September 2011 10:17 AM EDT

In a new Internet ad, Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry is taking competitor Mitt Romney to task for an editing change made in the soft-cover version of his book “No Apology” from the hard-cover edition. The change involves how Romney describes the healthcare plan he implemented as governor of Massachusetts.

The hard-cover edition read, “It's portable, affordable health insurance — something people have been talking about for decades. We can accomplish the same thing for everyone in the country."

But Romney’s campaign stance is that Obamacare should be overturned because it applies to the entire country.

So the soft cover description of Romneycare reads, "It's portable, affordable health insurance — something people have been talking about for decades. And it was done without government taking over healthcare."
