Pelosi Makes Desperate Plea for Campaign Cash

In a sign of just how desperate the Democrats are as Republicans look poised to regain control of Congress, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi made a rare appearance at a meeting of Democratic committee chairmen last week to plead for more campaign cash. She told the congressional heavies that they aren’t doing enough when it comes to money, Roll Call reports.

She blasted them for the fact that two-thirds of the chairman haven’t met their dues goals for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in this year’s election.

“She said, ‘Your money was budgeted for; you owe us this money,’” a Democratic lobbyist familiar with the meeting told Roll Call.
