Media Begins Covering Ron Paul

By    |   Friday, 26 August 2011 01:58 PM EDT

Presidential candidate Ron Paul may have been smart to complain that the media wasn’t giving him enough attention in the wake of his second place finish in the Iowa Straw Poll. He’s getting it now, Politico reports.

After a Gallup poll this week showed the Texas congressman running third in the race, the coverage is intensifying. Paul is set to appear on “Fox News Sunday” this weekend, and Time magazine is running a four-page spread on his campaign strength in the issue that comes out Saturday.

Paul’s complaints helped Time editors decide to run the story, said its author, Alex Altman. “He performed strongly at Ames,” Altman told Politico. “I thought, and my editors think, that he had a valid complaint that he was being overlooked.”
