President Barack Obama is scheduled to leave the nation's capital on the night of Nov. 4 — on the heels of the midterm elections. The long tour will keep the president away from the United States for almost 12 days on a journey that will include stops in India, Indonesia, Japan, and South Korea before he heads back to Washington on Nov. 14, according to a
Times of India report.

Notably, the trip excludes Pakistan, Washington's troublesome ally in the War on Terrorism.
First lady Michelle Obama is slated to make the first leg of the president's tour to India, but their children, Malia and Sasha, are to remain in school.
