U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky, held onto his Senate seat, 51 percent to 49 percent over Democrat challenger Bruce Lunsford on Tuesday to win a fifth term, Fox News projected. This threatens the Democrats ability to win a fillibuster-proof 60 seats in the Senate.
