Democrats upset with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s clever maneuvering for the Republican cause can expect one thing – that’s more of the same, he says. “There’s much for them [Democrats] to be angst-ridden about,” McConnell tells
Politico. "If they think it’s bad now, wait ‘til next year.”

The collapse of Democrats’ omnibus funding bill and the fact that Democrats had to accept Republicans’ demand to extend Bush-era tax cuts for everyone shows Democrats – even President Barack Obama -- will have to follow the GOP’s lead, McConnell says.
“If the president is willing to do things that we believe in, I don’t think we’re going to say, ‘No, Mr. President we’re not going to do this any longer because you’re now with us,’” McConnell tells Politico. “Any time the president is willing to do what we think is in the best interest of the American people, we have something to talk about.”
