Conservative radio commentator
Rush Limbaugh on Wednesday urged the GOP to stick to its guns in the debt debate. Limbaugh reiterated his position from last November, after Republicans swept the midterm elections: “Losers compromise. Winners do not compromise.”

The fact that Republicans still hold the upper hand, said Limbaugh, “is why I have been asking the Republicans in the House and in the Senate, don’t cave! You are the winners, you hold the cards. The public has not had a momentous opinion or attitude shift since November, they have not! This NBC News poll [suggesting otherwise] is a phony.”
Limbaugh was referring to an NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll that suggested more Americans want both parties to reach a compromise in the budget battle,
according to mediaite.com.
“The Republicans are nervous,” said Limbaugh. “It’s tough to be vilified 24/7 for your entire life.”
