Many on the left feel they are being abandoned by President Barack Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. You can count the top brass of the AFL-CIO among them,
Politico reports.

Members of the union group’s executive board lit into the duo at a meeting in Washington Wednesday, labor sources told the news service. Union presidents are upset about budget cuts, the new trade deal with Colombia and what they consider a general abandonment by Democratic leaders.
“Now, not only are we getting screwed by the Republicans but the Democrats are doing it too,” one union official said, describing the mood at the meeting.
Labor biggies are even upset with Obama’s proposed tax increase for the wealthy. “President Obama does not yet have the balance right between spending cuts and new revenue,” said AFL President Richard Trumka, who wants “significant new revenues.”
