Romney Says Obama Looks to Europe for Guidance

Saturday, 30 April 2011 07:15 AM EDT

MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — Likely GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney says President Barack Obama looks to Europe for guidance and doesn't like people who work in the free enterprise system.

The former Massachusetts governor said Friday that he fully embraces capitalism while Obama seems uneasy with it. He told a conservative audience in New Hampshire that the president has no private sector experience and a poor sense of how to create jobs.

Romney said this country's greatness is being challenged by those who would make the country "more like Europe."

He said America needs to produce more oil and gas to create a government climate that will eventually help reduce gasoline prices.
