Pelosi Heckled By Democrats at Convention

Nancy Pelosi is being heckled mercilessly during convention week in Denver by fellow Democrats angry over Congress’ failure to end the Iraq war.

The abuse has become so intense that before a Tuesday breakfast hosted by Politico and Yahoo News, attendees were warned that any disruptive outbursts would result in immediate ejection, according to New York Post reporter Charles Hurt’s “Convention Insider” blog.

“Elected on the promise to end the war, Pelosi and her Democrats have instead voted repeatedly to fund it until the next administration,” Hurt observes.

“Even more galling to the anti-war crowd is that there are even more troops in Iraq under Pelosi’s Congress than there ever were during Republican Congresses.”

At the breakfast, Pelosi noted some Congressional accomplishments but admitted, “Not ending the war has eclipsed everything else.”
