Franken to Campaign for Coons in Delaware

Democrats are pulling out all the stops to defeat tea-party backed Republican candidate Christine O’Donnell in the Delaware Senate Coons, Franken, O’Donnell, Delaware, Senaterace. Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn., will hit the stump this week for Democratic nominee Chris Coons, The Hill reports.

Most polls show Coons ahead of O'Donnell by double digits. She has been hurt by HBO talk-show host Bill Maher airing old clips in which she has said that she "dabbled into witchcraft" and avoided becoming a Hare Krishna because she liked to eat meat.
