In a sign that perhaps they aren’t too thrilled with the current Democratic leadership, Congressional Hispanic Caucus members are largely bypassing the Democratic Congressional Campaign

Committee in their campaign donations. Of the CHC’s 23 members, 22 haven’t yet met their donation obligations t
o the DCCC for this year’s elections, amounting to a $3 million shortfall, Roll Call reports.
Some aren’t too happy with Democrats’ failure to move forward on immigration reform. They don’t want their campaign donations going to colleagues who blocked progress on that front.
“I want to make sure that the money goes where I think it’s most appropriate, to individuals who are very supportive,” says Rep. Joe Baca of California, who chaired the CHC in 2007-08.
