For the first time, Hillary Clinton is more popular with her fellow Americans than President Barack Obama, indicates a new Gallup poll.
The secretary of state scored a 62 percent favorable rating, outstripping Obama’s 56 percent, according to a report in the New York Daily News
The poll was conducted Oct. 1-4 – before Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize.

Last January, Obama's favorable rating peaked at 78 percent, while Clinton stood at 65 percent. Curiously, Clinton's highest favorable rating of 67 percent was reached in December 1998, just after husband was impeached by the House of Representatives, according to a report by CNS News.
In other poll results:
Ninety-one percent of Democrats have a favorable opinion of Clinton, while 89 percent have a favorable view of Obama.
Among Republicans, 35 percent have a more positive view of Clinton than they do of Obama (19 percent).
Clinton has gone on the public record repeatedly recently saying she has no plans for running for president again. She would be 69 in 2016, at the end of Obama's potential second term.
