Caprio Not Benefiting From 'Shove It' Remark

Thursday, 28 October 2010 01:37 PM EDT

Perhaps telling President Barack Obama to go shove it would work for Republicans. But it’s not turning out so well for Democratic Rhode Island gubernatorial candidate Frank Caprio, Politico reports. A new poll from NBC10 and Quest Research shows the Democrat with only 25 percent support, putting him in third place. In the last poll earlier this month, Caprio scored 37 percent putting him in first place.

After the White House announced Obama wouldn’t make an endorsement in the race — Chafee backed Obama in the 2008 presidential race — Caprio told a Rhode Island radio station Monday, “He can take his endorsement and really shove it.”
