Democrats will narrow Republican leads in congressional races during the remaining four weeks of the campaign, says House Minority Whip Eric Cantor, R-Va. Speaking on CNBC, he warned Republicans against overconfidence,
The Hill reports.

“I think that it's been predicted at this point that the poll numbers will tighten up," Cantor said. Several polls already show races tightening, though experts say the GOP still has a strong chance of wresting control of the House and Senate from the Democrats.
Top Democrats, including President Obama, are re-energizing in an effort to draw liberals to the polls, Cantor notes. "I do think that they're pivoting now to send a signal to the Democratic, left-wing base."
