House Majority Leader Eric Cantor isn’t too happy with the Occupy Wall Street protesters. In a speech to the conservative Values Voter Summit Friday, he called them a mob and criticized Democrats for supporting them,
The Hill reports.
“[I’m] increasingly concerned by the growing mobs,” Cantor said. “Some in this town have actually condoned the pitting of Americans against Americans.”
Cantor joins several Republican candidates who have taken the left-wing protest movement to task. Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney labeled the protests class warfare and said they are dangerous. Businessman Herman Cain termed the protesters "un-American." And ex-Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum said President Barack Obama should avoid allying with them.
