Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice, secretaries of state under President George W. Bush, have criticized former Vice President Dick Cheney for his unflattering portrayal of them in his new memoir. But the conflicts don’t bother Bush, The Hill reports.

"I'm glad members of my family are giving their version of what it was like to serve the country," Bush said during an interview on “Fox and Friends.” "I did the same thing."

Ultimately, historians will hash out the differing views, he said. "Eventually objective historians will analyze our administration and draw objective conclusions."

Bush also said he doesn’t plan to endorse any of the Republican presidential candidates officially, though he will "remain an interested observer" of the race.

"I also follow baseball," Bush quipped. "I'm not going back into the limelight."

Editor's Note: George W. Bush says it's healthy that his former aides are debating with Dick Cheney over his new book, "In My Time." Click here to the the book FREE (while supplies last).
