Breitbart Wants Weiner to Apologize to Him

By    |   Tuesday, 07 June 2011 12:22 PM EDT

Conservative author Andrew Breitbart has been criticized for his journalistic ethics in the past. But now he’s having the last laugh — and demanding an apology — after breaking the scandal over Democratic Rep. Anthony Weiner’s sending a risqué photo of himself to a woman through Twitter, Politico reports.

Breitbart’s first scoop came 10 days ago on his website, Big Government. He closed the deal Monday, releasing more photos that Weiner sent to women. Now, may observers suspect that the Democratic congressman will be very lucky to keep his job.

And Breitbart has enhanced his reputation, which was damaged by accusations of selective editing and bias in his earlier investigations, including one of liberal activist group ACORN.

“I would like an apology for allowing his [Weiner’s] political protectors — and this was his strategy — to blame me for hacking,” Breitbart said.

Weiner originally claimed his Twitter account was hacked.
