It’s no accident that President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden have put much of their campaign focus on Ohio. They’re trying to save their own skins in 2012, says House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio,
The Hill reports. "They've been coming here for months," Boehner said at a
campaign rally Sunday.
"What he's [Obama is] really coming here for is to help himself, because he knows that come 2012, if he doesn't have [Democratic Gov.] Ted Strickland in office, his reelection chances are seriously damaged."
Polls show a close race between Strickland and his Republican opponent John Kasich.
"Vote for Kasich to send Obama a message," Boehner says.
When Obama passed healthcare reform without Republican support, "He said, 'That's what elections are for,' " Boehner notes.”And boy was he right."
