Barbour for American Crossroads: 'Let's Get This Done' in 2012

By    |   Tuesday, 08 November 2011 10:00 AM EST

American Crossroads unveiled a video today featuring Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour delivering a simple message: “Let’s Get This Done” and oust President Barack Obama on Election Day, 365 days from now.

The nonprofit American Crossroads, which Republican guru Karl Rove conceived and is spending millions to unseat Obama, features the video on its special, website dedicated to the presidential election, titled The 1600 Fund.

Story continues below video.

In the video, Barbour decries Obama’s policies as making the country’s problems worse instead of fixing them.

“And a second Obama term means making this malaise permanent,” says the Republican governor of Mississippi. “We’re the greatest country on earth, and we can get America right again. To do that we have to win in 2012 . . . So come on now, let’s get this done.”

Barbour also presses for lowering, simplifying, and stabilizing tax rates; cutting spending and putting a moratorium on new regulations; and keeping America’s military strong.

Barbour, who joined American Crossroads’ election efforts in September, is a key fundraiser and adviser to the group.
