Warren Buffett, 84: I Drink 5 Cokes a Day

Thursday, 26 February 2015 10:22 AM EST

At 84 years old, billionaire Warren Buffett,  the world's most successful investor, exudes energy. His secret? Although experts may cringe, and it's for certain they won't be recommending the Buffett Diet anytime soon, the tycoon says he stays hale and hearty by drinking five cans of Coca-Cola every day.

"I'm one quarter Coca-Cola," Buffett told Fortune magazine. And his statement is true both literally and figuratively, since the financial giant owns $16 billion dollars in Coca-Cola Stock. "If I eat 2,700 calories a day, a quarter of that is Coca-Cola. I drink at least five 12-ounce servings. I do it every day."

Buffet spaces his colas throughout the day. "I have three Cokes during the day and two at night."
His diet — the dream of a six-year-old — doesn't stop at his favorite soft drink. He often pairs Cokes with potato sticks, and admitted to recently having a bowl of chocolate chip ice cream for breakfast.
Buffett says his diet mirrors that of a six-year-old because actuarial tables say the lowest death rate is among six-year-olds. "So I decided to eat like a six-year-old," he told Fortune. "It’s the safest course I can take."
