A Virginia man has been arrested on charges he sold people a false cure for cancer.

Prince William County Police spokesman Jonathan Perok said 67-year-old Peter Bodunrin Adeniji is accused of obtaining money by false pretenses, operating a medical practice without a license, dispensing drugs without a license, and money laundering, Fox News reports.

Adeniji allegedly discouraged traditional cancer treatments, making fraudulent statements to sell his medication for $1,200 per bottle, but the medication wasn't what he claimed. The FBI is analyzing it.

Lynchburg Commonwealth's Attorney Michael Doucette tells The Washington Post Adeniji was previously convicted on similar charges. He is being held without bond. It's unclear if he has an attorney.
