Donny Osmond’s golden pipes are undergoing repairs. The former teen idol has postponed several concerts to have vocal-cord surgery,
Newsday reports.
"Doctors examining . . . [his] recent hoarseness have discovered a hemorrhagic polyp (or bleeding lesion) on his right vocal cord which will necessitate a microsurgical removal of the lesion," Osmond's official Website revealed.
It said Harvard Medical School's Steven M. Zeitels, M.D., chief of the Center for Laryngeal Surgery & Voice Rehabilitation at Massachusetts General Hospital, "will operate on Donny in Boston in the very near future."
Dr. Zeitels has also reportedly performed the same procedure on Adele, Sam Smith, and Lionel Richie
