Don't wait until you're 65 years old to take anti-aging supplements, says a new study reported by LiveScience. It's best to take then during middle age, since the study found that while the physical abilities of middle-aged rats improved after taking anti-aging supplements, older rats didn't.
"It is possible that there is a window during which these compounds will work, and if the intervention is given after that time it won't work," said study scientist Jinze Xu, a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Florida's Institute on Aging.
