Hugh Jackman revealed to his 231,000 Instagram followers that he suffered a skin cancer scare, according to
The Daily News.
The 45-year-old actor said a biopsy determined a spot on his nose was basal cell skin cancer,
a common, treatable form of the disease that is not as dangerous as deadly melanoma.

He said his wife Deborra-Lee Furness urged him to have a doctor examine the blemish.
"[She] said to get the mark on my nose checked," he posted Thursday with a picture of his bandaged nose.
"Boy, was she right! I had a [basal] cell carcinoma. Please don't be foolish like me. Get yourself checked. And USE sunscreen!!!"
A photo of the star taken backstage at the Broadway production of "Big Fish" on Nov. 13 clearly shows s small blemish on the bridge of his nose, The Daily News reported.
Basal cell carcinoma is usally attributed to sun exposure. It rarely spreads, but untreated can cause disfigurement.
Nearly 3 million cases of the condition are diagnosed in the U.S. every year.
