More men are turning to Botox to stop sweating, dermatologists report.
“When men are in business meetings, they normally sweat profusely from their scalps, and it makes them look insecure,” celebrity dermatologist Dr. Patricia Wexler tells
The New York Post.
So Wexler injects Botox, which is usually used to fight wrinkles, into clients’ sweat glands to halt perspiration.
“This gives them more self-esteem, and their presence is more secure,” says Wexler, adding that business is booming.
Injections cost between $750 and $2,500 per treatment.
